- Minimum experience of 5 years proven work experience OR highly recommended, with contactable references.
- Excellent understanding of construction and joinery.
- Experience in restaurant/hospitality/residential design would be an advantage.
- Candidate should be creative and have an eye for design and detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills so clients understand the vision.
- Undertake design project(s) from concept to completion.
- Must be able to produce technical drawings with details.
- Must be able to work both independently and within a team.
- Good problem-solving skills in coming up with design solutions.
- Confidently attend and lead meetings.
- Efficient and organised with project planning and administration (be able to manage budgets).
- Must be able to conduct site visits and meetings with own transportation. Company will reimburse.
- Partial project management experience.
- Must be able to work well under quick turnover times and handle pressure well.
- Must have own transportation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop (or similar).
- PowerPoint presentations.
- Excel spreadsheets for budget purposes
